Senior Account Executive

Empact Technologies plays a critical role in accelerating the clean energy transition. We enable solar, energy storage, wind and other clean energy project developers and investors to ensure their projects fully comply with Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) requirements.   
 
We are the leading provider of Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) compliance management solutions for utility and community scale clean energy project developers, EPCs and investors. 

 

Our software platform and services enable solar, energy storage, wind, and other clean energy developers to manage prevailing wage and apprenticeship, domestic content, and other clean energy tax incentive compliance, maximize the value of their tax credits, and protect tax equity investors and corporate tax credit buyers from IRS recapture audit risk. 

 

We are building an incredible company and are seeking a Senior Account Executive to accelerate our market leadership.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Playing a pivotal role in driving our growth and expanding our market presence and carry responsibility for acquiring and cultivating relationships with key decision-makers at leading utility-scale and community-scale project developers. 
  • Working with Vice President of Sales & Marketing and other senior staff driving new client acquisition including; 
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed annual and quarterly sales quotas 
  • Conduct select outreach in concert with marketing and sales team 
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities 
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract closure 
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions 
  • Proactively address customer concerns and issues 
  • Conduct effective sales presentations and product demonstrations 
  • Negotiate complex deals and close business 
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers 
  • Work in concert with sales teammates to convert and close leads from strategic and referral partners as appropriate 
  • Represent the Empact brand via participation in conferences, partner events, webinars, etc. 
  • Support the product team with client feedback on products and new features 
  • Assist with ongoing market research and awareness of competitors and opportunities for expansion 
  • Maintain market knowledge, trends and insights via ongoing education and training as needed 
  • Other sales and marketing activities as required to successfully grow the company 

 

Candidate qualifications: 

  • Clean energy sales and business development, is required 
  • 8+ years of increasing responsibility with a minimum of 5 years as a senior, director or manager of Sales, Business Development, or equivalent. 
  • Successful experience in SaaS sales or business development is strongly desired. 
  • HubSpot or other CRM experience required 
  • Prior technology start-up experience is strongly desired 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation skills 
  • Excellent leadership skills. 
  • Strong understanding of the renewable energy industry, particularly utility-scale projects 
  • High IQ and EQ. 
  • Solution Selling, Miller Heiman or other sales training a plus 
  • Ability to roll up sleeves and execute. 
  • Team Builder mentality
